GEO basics

What generative engine optimisation is, and why it matters

GEO is the optimisation strategy that makes generative AI such as ChatGPT or Perplexity recognise your brand as a trustworthy thing to recommend when it composes an answer.

For example: when someone asks "recommend a good skincare product", GEO is what makes the AI answer "Brand A's moisturising cream is a good choice".

The heart of GEO is becoming a brand that AI trusts.

SEO = earning a link click on Google

GEO = having ChatGPT recommend your brand directly

SEO: someone searches for a moisturiser → your site ranks high → you attract the click

GEO: someone asks for a moisturiser recommendation → AI answers straight away → your brand is mentioned

As search shifts towards AI, being included in the AI's answer matters more than waiting for a click.

ChatGPT is already used by hundreds of millions of people a month, and a great many searches now end in the AI's answer without a single click.

Even if you rank at the top of Google, your brand may go unmentioned if it isn't included in the generative AI's answer.

GEO is still an early market. Starting now lets you claim the AI answer environment before your competitors, and a six-month head start can turn into a lasting brand advantage.

Zero-click search is a search where no site is clicked at all, because the AI provides the answer right there on the results screen.

For example: 'Samsung Electronics share price' → AI answers instantly → no click needed

This kind of search is growing quickly, and a great many searches now end in the AI answer.

Yes, you do.

Brands that rank at the top of SEO often still go unmentioned in AI answers.

SEO: the strategy for winning clicks from search results

GEO: the strategy for being chosen inside an AI answer

SEO still matters, but GEO is the new strategy the age of AI search requires. Running both together produces the biggest effect.

Yes, you do.

Many B2B decision-makers already use AI to explore solutions and vendors.

For example: 'recommend a project management tool', 'compare ERP systems'

GEO is what makes sure your brand and product are mentioned when AI composes an answer to questions like these.

It is actually an advantage. AI prioritises content quality and trusted sources over domain age.

Through PersonaQ™, BrandVis is designed so that even small brands can break into AI answers quickly.

B2C-led sectors such as e-commerce, beauty, SaaS and education see the strongest effect.

Fast results: e-commerce, beauty (2–4 weeks)

Medium results: SaaS, education (4–6 weeks)

Longer-term results: B2B, manufacturing (6–8 weeks)

The more a category depends on AI search, the faster the effect shows.

Most GEO solutions are extensions of SEO tools.

BrandVis is an independent GEO engine that analyses AI answer data directly. Through PersonaQ™ it collects and analyses 'the questions people actually ask AI' every day.

Asking directly gives you a single snapshot. The same question produces different answers depending on who asks, how it is phrased, when, and on which model, so a handful of checks cannot tell you where your brand really stands.

BrandVis repeatedly queries several AI models with a designed set of personas and prompts, and accumulates the results on a 24-hour cycle.

The data that builds up shows not only whether you were mentioned or cited, but the trend over time, your share against competitors, and whether the context was positive or negative.

In short, the difference is building a basis for judgement from repeated observation, rather than from one chance answer.

BrandVis service

What the product does, how to start, and reporting

BrandVis measures brand visibility (GEO) in the age of generative AI and helps AI choose your brand for its answers more often.

It analyses mention and recommendation patterns on major AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Perplexity, and automatically proposes the content direction and execution strategy to improve them.

BrandVis is the solution that gets your brand mentioned when AI answers.

These are the services available today.

① Free GEO score measurement (30 seconds): enter your domain and brand name and see your current AI mention status instantly

② Apply as a beta partner → once selected within 2 days, you can use the BrandVis beta

You can also pre-register for the full service on our website.

PersonaQ™ is the proprietary BrandVis engine that defines your brand's target customer personas precisely and then automatically extracts and analyses the questions they actually ask AI.

PersonaQ™ personas are not simply imagined characters. They are designed from the behavioural data and query patterns of real customer groups.

PersonaQ™ turns "the language customers use with AI" into brand strategy.

BrandVis supports the 5 major global generative AI platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Google Overview), covering about 95% of AI search worldwide.

It automatically distinguishes each platform's question–answer structure and learning characteristics, calculates a separate GEO score for each, and reports it back to the brand.

We will keep adding new global models.

The GEO Score is a number showing how a given brand or product is perceived by generative AI.

Each criterion is scored from 0 to 5.0, and the reasoning and reference sources are provided alongside it so the basis of the score is transparent. It also proposes concrete improvements and the score change you can expect from applying them.

The GEO Score is not just a number. It shows brand awareness, credibility and recommendation potential in an AI environment as a whole.

Yes, we produce content optimised for GEO.

Based on the analysis, BrandVis proposes content formats optimised for AI and, where needed, can generate or rewrite the content itself. For example, it automatically structures FAQ sections or recommendation-style blog paragraphs that AI reads well.

Content production at BrandVis is not simply writing. It is the process of redefining content as a data structure AI trusts, which is what optimises it for GEO.

What we produce:

AI-friendly FAQ pages

Product / service comparison content

Platform-specific content (news, social, blog and so on)

Content tailored to each persona

We can revise existing content or create it from scratch.

The BrandVis GEO process has six stages.

Brand diagnosis – analysing mention and recommendation rates inside AI

GEO Score measurement – establishing where you stand today

PersonaQ analysis – extracting queries from real customer questions

Strategy proposal – recommending optimised keywords and content

Execution and reporting – checking results weekly

Continuous optimisation – automatic updates as AI algorithms change

BrandVis completes the brand flywheel for the age of AI.

Reports are provided weekly as standard, and the Pro plan adds a monthly report.

Reports cover brand mention rate, recommendation ranking and competitor comparison, plus data-driven opportunities and risks and the strategies to respond to them.

It is not just a set of numbers. It is an insight report showing how AI perceives your brand.

BrandVis continuously tracks your brand's mention rate inside AI, its recommendation rate, and its share against competitors, platform by platform.

That lets you follow the flow from AI recommendation → click → conversion along the customer journey.

We also connect it to your actual revenue data and analyse ROI over time, showing how AI visibility affects sales.

Where SEO asks whether you appeared in the search results, GEO asks whether AI chose your brand.

Yes. We show side by side how competing brands are mentioned and cited on the same prompts.

You can see who is mentioned first, by topic and by platform, and in what context they are recommended, which pinpoints exactly where your brand is losing ground.

From PROFESSIONAL upwards you can also benchmark the source channels your competitors are cited from.

Once you know which outlets and domains have earned AI's trust, the priority order of the channels you need to win becomes clear.

GEO impact and results

Timelines, improved metrics, the link to revenue

The effect of GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) usually appears within about 4–8 weeks. From that point you can see changes in your brand's mention and recommendation rates inside AI answers, and some brands see conversion metrics improve from the second month.

There is also research that measures the effect of adopting generative AI directly. In a large-scale randomized field experiment that Columbia Business School ran at a cross-border online retail platform, the workflow using an AI pre-sale chatbot saw sales rise 16.3% (across all seven workflows the effect ranged from 0% to 16.3%). It is not a study of GEO, but it is evidence that real metrics move once generative AI sits on the purchase path.

Typically you can see AI beginning to mention your brand more often within one to two months.

GEO is not about raw exposure. It is a strategy that changes 'how AI perceives and recommends' your brand.

The core metrics that improve are:

Mention & recommendation rate – how often your brand is mentioned inside AI responses

AI share of voice – how often you are on the recommendation list compared with competitors

Sentiment & credibility – how often the AI response is positive in context and speaks of you as trustworthy

ROI is calculated as: ROI = (revenue increase − cost) ÷ cost × 100

The ROI of a GEO strategy is driven mainly by three factors.

Content investment – the cost of producing content, optimising it and running the reporting

Metric improvement – how changes in your brand's mention and recommendation rates inside AI affect conversion

Revenue increase or cost saving – actual revenue growth or better marketing efficiency

Related research and case studies report the following:

Higher consumer spending at a fashion brand after adopting AI (Vogue Business, 2024)

High ROI at SaaS companies that adopted AI-driven search (Gartner, 2025)

Improved revenue and conversion in e-commerce after applying AI recommendations (Adobe Analytics, 2025)

ROI analysis of AI use at B2B companies (Forrester, 2025)

Taken together, GEO investment is assessed as a structure that can be expected to return several times what is put in.

Yes. A GEO strategy is structured to connect directly to revenue performance.

In a generative AI environment the flow runs AI recommendation → high-purchase-intent traffic → conversion.

Global cases show the same tendency: the more often a brand is mentioned and recommended in AI search and recommendation environments, the more traffic quality and revenue opportunity rise together.

In SaaS, e-commerce and healthcare in particular, there are reported cases where leads, conversion rate and revenue all improved after adopting AI-driven recommendations.

We are currently recruiting BrandVis beta partners in Korea, so results can be seen first through overseas cases.

Global SaaS, e-commerce, healthcare and B2B companies have reported cases where leads, conversion rate and revenue improved together after adopting a GEO strategy.

Representative examples include

higher leads and contract value at SaaS companies

improved revenue and conversion from AI recommendations in e-commerce

more enquiries and new bookings in healthcare

as the results observed.

BrandVis is currently recruiting beta partners to build the first GEO adoption cases in Korea, and selected companies receive support with both measurement and strategy execution.

Domestic beta partner programme

Up to 5 companies selected

6 months of free participation + support with measuring results

Can be used as one of Korea's first GEO adoption cases

We are still at the early stage, before the AI search environment settles in earnest, when brand visibility can be claimed first.

Partnerships and services

GEO onboarding, consulting, training and partnerships

GEO onboarding is a foundational diagnostic service that explores how your brand is currently mentioned and cited in generative AI answers, and sets the starting point for GEO in earnest.

We design personas and prompts across the major platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, AI Overview, Perplexity) and measure where you stand today.

It does not stop there. It connects to an execution plan across three axes: Content GEO (content structure), Technical GEO (infrastructure) and Trust GEO (trust structure).

Because we define what to change first as execution missions, you can act as soon as the diagnosis is done.

By stage: information gathering and project setup take 2–4 weeks, pilot discovery 2–4 weeks, and citation strategy with mission execution 12 weeks or more.

AI needs time to re-learn brand information and reflect it in answers, so we recommend at least six months for the whole project.

Discovery does not end at a particular stage. It continues throughout the project.

Results are measured every four weeks, monthly, and we repeat the cycle: check the outcome of each mission, then define the next one.

First, a persona and prompt design document and a visibility diagnosis report. The report sets out mention share, citation share and topic share, platform by platform.

Alongside it come the findings of the distortion and hallucination investigation, where AI describes your brand incorrectly, so you can pinpoint what needs correcting.

A stage-by-stage mission definition document and a monthly performance report follow, tracking execution and metric change against the same baseline.

At the end of the project we transfer execution capability and an operating guide so the brand can run GEO on its own.

Not much. With brand and product materials and interview slots with the relevant people, we can start the project.

We ask for CMS and GA4 access for the site diagnosis; read-only access is enough for most of the analysis.

During the Technical GEO stage, having a developer to work with speeds up implementation considerably.

Even where development resource is hard to secure, we provide a prioritised implementation guide and help you apply it.

The subscription is the platform that measures visibility continuously and tracks missions; onboarding is a dedicated execution service that sets the starting point.

You can check metrics and manage missions with the subscription alone, but running the initial design and execution together gets you established far faster.

Onboarding can be added as an option by PROFESSIONAL customers and above.

The personas, prompts and execution missions designed during onboarding carry straight over into the subscription environment, so you can keep measuring against the same baseline after the project ends.

AIBIX is an AI brand index that AIBIX Lab and FlipB develop and publish together.

It analyses how often a brand is mentioned, recommended and cited across the answers of 4 AI models: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity.

The results are organised by category and published every month, so you can see where a brand stands relative to others in its market.

What makes it distinctive is that it is a public index for reading the AI visibility of a whole market, rather than a diagnosis of an individual brand.

Pureum HRD Institute Inc., WeDataLab Inc. and FlipB Inc. have signed a joint business agreement for UniKai, a platform dedicated to AI education.

Each company takes a part (education content, data technology and brand strategy) and they build the platform together.

FlipB leads the brand and marketing work and the generative search exposure (GEO) strategy.

The platform is scheduled to launch officially in October 2026, and will focus on the practical skills the AX era demands.

It is for companies whose product and service information is scattered across channels, so AI answers never describe them consistently.

The impact is greatest in B2B and professional services, where evaluation cycles are long and comparison is heavy, and in categories where brand trust decides the purchase.

We check your current AI exposure at the diagnosis stage first, then decide the scope of the consulting.

Six steps: growth model diagnosis → ontology design → knowledge graph build → data & connections → AI adoption & automation → running the growth engine.

The first three steps define the brand's knowledge structure; the last three connect it to real work and real results.

Product, customer, content and evidence data that used to be scattered are connected into a single structure, so AI understands and describes your brand accurately.

Internally, CS, marketing, PR, product and sales all judge against the same data, so decision speed and consistency rise together.

The standard engagement runs 12–16 weeks and is adjusted to your brand size and the state of your data.

On your side it needs about one marketing lead and one product lead joining a weekly working session.

Data preparation and the graph build are led by the FlipB team.

Yes. At the end we hand over the knowledge graph and the operating guide as they are, and from there you move into the growth-engine stage with regular reporting and optimisation.

Most clients combine this with a platform subscription so the metrics are tracked automatically.

No, you don't.

BrandVis is designed to be usable by non-developers, so everything from automatic analysis after sign-up through to report generation and improvement guidance happens with simple clicks.

Normally a marketing or brand lead alone can run it. Where an enterprise plan requires database or API integration, however, your technical team can be involved.

BrandVis is a solution specialised in GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), a different area from existing SEO tools. It is designed to be used alongside SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console and GA4.

BrandVis does not replace your existing SEO metrics. It helps you extend and interpret them as GEO metrics suited to the AI search environment.

Yes. BrandVis puts the security and confidentiality of customer data first.

All data is protected with encryption protocols at or above industry standard, and access is strictly managed under a role-based access control (RBAC) policy. Collected data is used only for GEO analysis and performance measurement, and for no other purpose.

BrandVis servers run in an AWS security-certified environment (ISO 27001, SOC 2).

All analysis is also performed READ-ONLY, so no direct change or access is made to your website or your content.

Never.

Your GEO strategy, performance data and PersonaQ™ analysis results are stored and analysed in a completely separate, isolated environment for each client.

Each project is encrypted with its own security key, and nothing is ever shared with or exposed to outsiders or competitors. All customer data is managed on a 'Private by Default' principle.

Yes. BrandVis meets all the major global data protection standards.

EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

The Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea (PIPA)

The Network Act and its related enforcement rules

BrandVis analyses only de-identified data and publicly visible AI response patterns; it does not collect personal data directly or transmit it externally.

BrandVis also operates on a 'Privacy by Design' principle, with data protection built into the system from the design stage.

Yes. The ENTERPRISE plan provides an API so you can bring BrandVis metrics into your own environment.

You can export the metrics to existing analytics tools including GA4, to BI dashboards and to data warehouses, and view them alongside your own data.

Combining AI visibility metrics with traffic and conversion data lets you see directly what your GEO work did to real performance.

We'll walk through the exact integration scope and method for your environment during the adoption consultation.
